Ha. A. Mehler :: NEW BOOK

IN SHORT

For years the author researched the difference between successful people and people who always fail.

The spectacular result:

Mental barriers that can be built up by education, books, parenting and environment impede wealth!

Those barriers must first be put aside.

The author researched additionally 100 Selfmademen and Millionaires who made it to the absolute top.

The result:

All successful people cultivate 10 strategies,

which guarantee financial success. From this the TEN COMMANDMENTS OF FINANCIAL SUCCESS are derived.

SYNOPSIS

There exists virtually no subject with as much misinformation being spread about it as the subject of money. Everyone has his own philosophy about money. The author, however, assumed that the top achievers, multimillionaires who are the best in their business, would have an entirely different viewpoint and approach.

He interviewed more than 100 multimillionaires over the course of a decade. The surprising results show that successful individuals all share ten particular characteristics that guarantee financial success.

This book focuses on the shared characteristics of more than 100 self-made men at the very top. The best of these biographical interviews were selected and are presented in this book. Included is the great European filmmaker, Bernd Eichinger, whose motion pictures have consistantly received rave reviews. There is also Helmut Aurenz, a one-time gardening apprentice, who began earning money with soil at the age of 17. He elevated his wholesale potting soil venture into an enterprise with over $100 million in revenue, and now owns businesses in over 20 countries, including Canada, the United States and Russia.

Thus we are dealing with a unique investigation into the subject of money, which was eventually used as the foundation of a “science of success.” The most amazing discovery is that every one of the more than 100 multimillionaires who participated in the study utilized ten formulas for success, which guarantee prosperity.

But before success, there are usually obstacles. Barriers. Mental blocks. Because of this, special emphasis was placed on these mental blocks, which first have to be gotten rid of if one wishes to make money. Mental barriers exist because of the way one was raised, the environment in which one was raised, anti-money philosophies and even because of negative images projected by the super rich.

The subject money, then, has two sides, like a coin. On one side there exist formidable “mental barriers”, which simply prevent financial success. On the other side, there is a solid know-how that has been tested literally thousands of times that downright guarantees success. In general, however, these mental barriers initially block success, which is why special emphasis was placed on this particular topic. As a matter of fact, an entire cultural environment has been responsible for the eventual failure of careers and businesses.

An example of a mental barrier would be a religion that preaches the notion that money is something that should be associated with the devil.

Other prominent sources of financial impediment are political lectures relating to capital and capitalism. Communism, for instance, had, at one point, nearly one-half of the world population convinced of the idea that money is evil.

All these notions are dispelled by means of precisely looking at their respective historical origins. The teachings of Marx, Stalin and Mao are scrutinized just as the biographies of the landed clergy and rich priests, such as Alexaner Borgia, are examined very closely. Further, the concise biographies of several super wealthy individuals (Rockefellers, the Fuggers, etc.) are studied - all individuals whose lives and lifestyles might scandalize a person sufficiently to bring him to turn his back on the subject of money.

Just as interesting as the traps that one can fall in, however, are the strategies that lead to financial success. Therefore, the author conducted this unique study in which he personally examined 100 millionaires, seeking out their common denominators of success. A small number of interviews were selected and have been integrated into the book.

To guarantee the highest possible authenticity, the subjects are quoted directly. One of them is a billionaire, another is a Wall Street legend.

Many of the moguls are portrayed using both text and illustration, so that one can see the steely determination reflected in their outward appearance. And once again, these successful individuals all preach the same sermons about monetary success. They all cherish ten principles, ten approaches or ten strategies from which the TEN COMMANDMENTS OF FINANCIAL SUCCESS were derived.

COMPARISON

The previous bestseller par excellence is the book Think and Get Rich, by Napoleon Hill.

It has been sold in numerous countries, has seen millions of copies sold, and a foundation was established in the United States for the purpose of ensuring that the book continues to be printed and sold.

Mehler's approach is similar to that of Hill. Napoleon Hill examined numerous self-made men, as well as some super wealthy individuals - more than 100 individuals total.

Another point of comparison is the timeframe. Hill conducted his research for literally decades, as did Mehler.

There are also striking differences. Hill could not take the economic history of the past decades into consideration for obvious reasons. In that, Hill's book is a little outdated. Mehler’s is up-to-date. Mehler is also more authentic than Hill. The most important interviewees, the really big names, are quoted, not paraphrased and interpreted by the author. Thus one gets these gems of financial wisdom directly from the source, unaltered by the writer's bias.

What's more, Mehler looked at the sociological, religious, pedagogical, philosophical and cultural aspects of the subject of money.

Finally, Mehler presents the TEN COMMANDMENTS OF FINANCIAL SUCCESS. Hill was unaware of them and they are not in his book.

ORIGINALITY

The attempt to discover the “secret of money” is not new. On the contrary, again and again, with regularity, self proclaimed gurus pop up who claim to have found the philosopher's stone regarding this subject. However, the following aspects are new and downright revolutionary.

  1. All prior practices are questioned. Instead of conjecture and speculation, the author uses data obtained from approximately 100 self-made men who managed to make it to the top, indeed, the very top, by their own means. Thus, the results obtained in this book are not derived from the mere opinion of a single individual, but instead are an extraction taken from collected and colated OBJECTIVE FACTS.
  2. None of the numerous “money books” in circulation take into consideration the fact that MENTAL BARRIERS must first be dealt with and debunked before one can tread the path to financial success.
In past works. This first step has been ignored and shamefully neglected. In the book “MONEY DOESN'T STINK,” however, emphasis was placed on exactly these barriers; the subject was uniquely presented.
  3. In regards to these philosophies, the attitudes toward money, one could distinguish between three eras:
Yesterday: THE AGE OF MONEY DEMONIZATION
(possession only possible by means of inheritance, coincidence, luck, external circumstances, fate)
Today: THE AGE OF CONFUSION
(money = ambivalence)
Tomorrow: THE AGE OF FINANCIAL FREEDOM
(constructive attitude towards money)
So today's motto might be:

Wealth is possible.

The certain path to financial success is presented in the book MONEY DOESN'T STINK.
